I joined the yacht today. The yacht is 112 feet and was built in 2008 in Washington state. In hindsight, I\'m quite surprised that such large construction projects are still being created in the United States, due to our outrageous labor rates compared with the rest of the world. I guess it makes sense why such a relatively small boat costs so much. Typically In the US, for a fiberglass yacht, the ballpark is about $100,000 per foot (obviously an approximate value). Whereas there are several new builds coming out of Thailand and China where the per foot cost is in the $30,000 range. Quite a substantial price difference.
